At Encora we are investing on accelerating innovation. For the past few years, we have built a variety of proprietary SaaS products in Atlassian and Freshworks marketplaces focused on industries like Agile Software Development, Customer Service, and E-commerce.
The Product team currently maintains 10+ B2B apps and integrations and are looking to launch 3 new products this upcoming year. We are growing our team, so we are looking for a hands-on Scrum Master to help us improve our Agile adoption and processes to increase the teams’ engagement and efficiency, while maintaining a strong focus on sustaining our core values and culture.

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master passionate about guiding product development teams on how to use Agile practices and values to reach continuous improvement. The candidate should feel comfortable working with multiple products at same time with different Agile framework; analyzing and making decisions on the best methodology for each team/project.
It is essential for us to continue building trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis of healing and problem solving.
Responsibilities
- Balancing scrum process and adoption, to integrate the agile process framework to the realities of the team’s culture and environment.
- Help the Scrum Team focus on creating high-value increments that meet the Definition of Done.
- Removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel.
- Ensuring that all Agile events (Daily stand ups, Weekly meetings, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Review, Retrospectives, etc.) take place and are positive, productive, and kept within the timebox.
- Facilitating teamwork dynamics, discussion, decision-making, and conflict resolution.
- Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and streamlining information.
- Supporting the Product Owners, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog.
- Help prioritize products’ backlogs and mediate between development team and product team.
- The ability to work with Product Manager/Owner to assess business requirements and market requirements. After identification, convert those requirements into an actionable backlog for the development team to execute.
- Create release planning with Product Manager/Owner and technical lead, including follow up on smoke test after the release.
- Schedule periodical demos of products sprints results for non-product teams to be in sync on what’s being built.
- Facilitate team to test and follow up on support requests.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years’ experience playing the Scrum Master role for a software development team that was diligently applying Agile principles, practices, and theory.
- Good skills and knowledge of facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
- Knowledge of numerous well-documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: numerous Burndown techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.)
- Excellent English oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of other agile approaches: Kanban, XP, Scrum, Lean Software Development, etc.
- Experience with JIRA, Trello, Confluence
- Experience tracking and reporting metrics in an Agile environment.
- Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing.
- Previous experience as a team lead.
- Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
