About the role:

As a Staff Front End Engineer, you'll be responsible for building out the UI on multiple websites AND tools that we create on behalf of our ventures.

Essential duties and job responsibilities:

• Develop elegant interfaces, directly contributing to highly optimized frontend UI thats capable of operating at high speed and functionality.
• Synthesize complex business, product, and technical requirements to consistently produce high-quality system designs and software in addition to task break-down, delivery and monitoring.
• Design core UI components primarily in React.
• Develop highly-optimized Front End software that operates at scale.
• Conduct design and code reviews, taking accountability for bug fixes and ensuring standards for code quality are met.
• Work closely with other engineers, product managers, and designers to build the product.
• Continuously learn on the job to be build domain expertise.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 6 years of professional experience as a software engineer working in a front end or full-stack capacity.
• A deep understanding of current web software design patterns and principles.
• Expert level proficiency with React/Redux, JavaScript, ES6, Node.js, HTML5 and CSS3.
• Experience with one or more modern front-end frameworks/libraries such as Angular, Vue.js, Flutter, etc.
• Experience with Git and source code control management and branching strategies.
• A solid understanding of key web development principles such as DOM hierarchy and manipulation, semantic markup, performance optimization strategies, responsive vs. adaptive layouts, etc.
• Good communication skills in English (written and spoken).
