    About the role:

    As a Staff Data Engineer, you’ll be a part of our growing engineering team and help out our core data layer, which includes data services, core application schema(s), data lake, data connectors, and data transformation. You’ll have the chance to partner closely with our software engineering teams, data analysts, product management, business operations and be the glue that connects the dots. We are looking for an experienced Data professional who is a problem solver, logical thinker and passionate about everything relating to data and analytics.

    Essential duties and job responsibilities:

    • Build Modern data architecture from the ground up with streaming and batch processing capabilities using technologies such as Apache Airflow, Apache Flink/Spark, Apache kafka, and Apache Pinot.
    • You will also own data lake infrastructure.
    • Build a configurable data platform enabling both ELT/ETL and Reverse ETL Connectors & Transformations.
    • Experience with either Databricks Lakehouse / Snowflake leveraging standards such as Apache Iceberg/Hudi, Apache Trino, or similar technologies would be beneficial.
    • Collaborate daily with the Technology, Product & Design, and Business Engineering teams.

    Requirements:

    • 8+ years of software development experience with at least 4+ years building data products/ data platforms/ Cloud data warehouses.
    • 2-3 years of Experience building products independently and mentoring junior engineers.
    • Proficiency with analytic software programming, ideally in Python, Go, or Scala.
    • Fluency with storing, transforming, and managing relational, non-relational, and streaming data structures, specifically SQL, Spark, and Cloud storage.
    • Experience with Dimensional Modeling (Star Schema) & OLTP.
    • Experience working on any AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud infrastructure.
    • Excellent communication English skills, both written and verbal (C1).
    • DevOps: Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Terraform.

    Nice to have:

    • Understanding of parallel computing.
    • Full stack development: GraphQL, React, JavaScript, TypeScript.
    • Data Science and machine learning (Pandas, Scikit learn).
