Associate Learning Consultant is assigned as design lead on complex design projects or on  large projects (10 hours or more of  seat time) that have three or more  IDs doing the storyboarding. Associate Learning Consultants are also at times assigned to multiple design projects of the same client so that they can support the Learning Consultants on that relationship.

    Associate Learning Consultant  is also assigned as a Lead ID on end-to-end higher-level design (apps, games, simulations, learning and information systems) projects.  Associate LC is expected to have expertise in commonly used Authoring Tools like Articulate and Lectora and all the in-house authoring tools. They are also expected to have knowledge and skills related to current learning trends across geographies. An Associate LC is completely accountable for their projects in terms of quality and timelines and is expected to work independently with minimal support from the Learning Consultants. Associate LC is also expected to be aligned to the business needs of the organization.

    An Associate Learning Consultant is expected to:

    • Collaborates with the Learning Consultant to design and deliver an effective learning or performance solution.
    • Engage with the client to understand the business requirements of the desired learning intervention. If required, travel to client location for project related meetings and discussions.
    • Support the Learning Consultant in scoping a project during the proposal stage.  
    • Define learning objectives for the intervention on the basis of the business requirements.
    • Analyze the content of the intervention and map it to the identified learning objectives. Identify content gaps.
    • Define instructional strategy of a learning intervention and document it as an Instructional Design Document.
    • Create guidelines and micro-standards.
    • Define and set ID related processes for large project.
    • Mitigate learning design related project risks and align the learning design efforts and process according to the project scope.
    • Create storyboard on the basis of the Instructional Design Document.
    • Review a peer’s Instructional Design Document to ensure appropriateness of the proposed instructional strategies.
    • Review a peer’s storyboard to ensure that it as per the defined instructional strategy and micro-standards.
    • Lead instructional design of the learning intervention through all stages of development (analysis, scripting, and production).
    • Coordinate with other functional (graphics, programming, project management, and quality assurance) teams on a project.
    • Review the developed intervention to ensure it aligns with the proposed instructional strategy.
    • Facilitate review of a deliverable with the client.
    • Troubleshoot project-level ID issues.
    • Manage the aspirations of the ID team members assigned to the project.
    • Train the ID team members assigned to the project on project level design and writing guidelines.
    • Handle large projects that involve a team of at least 3 or more IDs.
    • Handle at least 4-5 projects at various stages of design and development at the same time.
    • Handle a large project in terms of revenue and seat time at one time.
    • Take over a project at any stage of project-lifecycle
